Sandy is a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years of experience assisting individuals, couples and children. She utilizes various approaches to helping couples resolve conflict and enhance connection, develop skills to communicate more meaningfully and, when applicable, to address issues arising from domestic violence and sexual assault. Sandy also helps individuals and couples reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, adjust to significant life changes while creating meaning and purpose. She works to promote post-traumatic growth and healing, build resiliency, change negative thinking, regulate emotions, increase understanding of healthy boundaries and facilitate greater insight towards better decision-making. Sandy studied clinical psychology at the doctoral level at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a master’s degree in school psychology. Sandy is a certified trauma treatment specialist through the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists. Her personal interests include cooking, gardening, fishing, reading and time with family and friends.
